I have been trying to get in touch with…
I have been trying to get in touch with them for two days to change a booking. No email address. All has to be by phone. I am deaf. I Have had my wife and my daughter in law try to phone on my behalf, but they insist they must speak to me. I have tried some email addresses on the internet, but they all come back as undeliverable. Yes I have hearing aids, but as anyone will tell you, put a phone next to an hearing aid and all you get is a high pitched squeal. Why can they not simply give an email address.
Absolutely appalling customer service.
Absolutely appalling customer service.
Kept on hold for 26 minutes because all responsible adults were in a meeting.
With 2 broken wrists I can’t travel.
Customer services refuses to give a refund -ok this request is JUST outside their policy but under the circumstances it would have been kind customer service and a good pr move to refund my deposits.
But no - customer service doesn’t even mind if I cancel my membership - “it’s my decisión they don’t care”!
I certainly will cancel my membership & can’t believe the Club is so desperate for money they can’t be kind under the circumstances. I can’t tow a caravan or manoeuvre one for the foreseeable future!
Disgraceful uncaring Club
Looking forward to joining Caravan Club.
Standard Pitch Sizes
Booked 3 nights at the Skye campsite, when we arrived we found although we just have a vw van and awning we would need a jumbo site to fit on and none were available. When we e-mailed the club we were ignored, we were only replied to when we took to twitter and then only got passed to customer services when we were not happy with the reply and quoted their own terms and conditions to them stating we were due a 2 day refund, which they have now actioned. Please ensure your outfit will fit on their standard pitches before you join this club, we have wasted our money.
Dire website
Dire website. Nothing but problems trying to get the site to work to make a simple booking and payment. Across 2 laptops, 2 accounts, 3 different browsers, nothing but issues. If it wasn't for the campsites generally being nice, and family using them my membership would already be cancelled.

Terrible booking team managers! please steer clear
one of the worst companies i have ever had the experience with. i booked a few days at one of their sites. Paid a deposit then i realised that the access in and out of the site wasn’t suitable for a wheelchair user. i called the site who verified this. when i called the booking centre they refused to give me back my deposit even when the administrator tried twice to raise it with management. i received a curt email saying they had strict policies that had to be adhered too. i literally called them within 30 minutes of booking! very poor! I’m registered disabled i cannot walk very far. i don’t play on my disability. i work and i try to lead a normal life. this has really upset me
NOTHING WORKS ESPECIALLY STAFF
Dreadful site so you phone you have to join then realized very few sites in the Highlands and the price doubled when you try to book .Wasted hours trying to phone told I have 8 weeks to cancel still no refund no reply to emails FOBBED off on phone I'll use the ombudsman Please guys be very very careful much cheaper booking other sites direct this is not a FRIENDLY CLUB

Tried booking SENNEN camp site for 2…
Tried booking SENNEN camp site for 2 nights on line, was quoted anything from £100 to £75. Different prices every time, when I had been quoted £40 a few days before. Had no trouble speaking to an adviser who booked for 2 nights at £38. We usually insure with Club Care but last year they didn't send a reminder and consequently we were driving around with no insurance for 3 months before being contacted by the DVLA. Thought it was our fault and renewed with them again last year. No reminder again this year. Luckily van was off the road anyway. Rang about another matter only to find we were uninsured and they would not renew as my husband was over 80. Look out if you are over 80 and double check if you are insured. Got wonderful insurance with Comfort who insure up to 85 and beyond if you keep renewing with them. After the Club this was a revelation and can't praise them enough!

I joined this club at the beginning of march so I can have more choice when trying to book a campsite for my Motorhome but it is useless the website booking doesn’t work the phone lines are never answered or engaged I won’t be renewing with them and feel I’ve been robbed as this club is bad I don’t know how they run this business as can’t book and and no communication

Would give less than 1 star.Member for 16 years and ‘club’ deteriorated.Just turned up at Moffat and had booked wrong night..could not check booking confirmation as out of phone reception.I was struggling to organise my thoughts and was basically told to hurry up and sort out my attitude!! Then seriously verbally abused by another ‘warden’. No renewal of membership for us.
CCC a much preferable organisation!
Monkton wyld Charmouth
We have just returned from Monkton Wyld campsite in Charmouth, what a wonderful site always clean and tidy. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed, Richard and his team keep it very well up together and the reception and shop guys couldn't have been more helpful, great position on the Devon and Dorset border

minus 1 star for the worst service I have come across
If I could go to a minus 1 star, I would!
Once again, Camping and Caravan Club has let me down.
Once again!
Things they don't tell you before you join:
1 you won't be able to contact them
2 they won't let you have their phone number
3 they won't let you stay on a site unless it is for 2 nights of more (no good for the traveller who wants a night here or a night there)
4 they elect officers, but don't tell you how to contact them
5 they say they can book ferries, but can't - well, they can, but only if you phone them, and you can't phone them unless you are prepared to wait over a week for a response.
6 they have an online ferry booking service, but it has been broken for 2 years and they can't fix it.
7 they have cut the number of available staff to cope with bookings
8 they aren't quite as friendly as you might think!

Terrible experience at Walton on Thames Club site
Terrible experience! Since the day that I went to have a look at the camping site and have an ice cream with my 5 y/o son I felt not welcome. I believe his name is Andy, the manager. The most impolite, rude and disgusting person I ever met managing a camping site. To please my son and spend the day out just for a few hours I booked for the next day a pitch for us. On the day I went to check the place he said to bring my own toilet because there isn't one. Fine. On the arrival, same thing. Always short and harsh words. I just had the feeling something bad would happen, and in fact it did. After setting up the tent and having a great time with my boy he came to me and ask for the toilet, then I showed him a travel potty that expands and it can even fits me if I needed along with the chemicals but he didn't care and said straight away... YOU CAN NOT STAY HERE! I was shocked and so angry because I just wanted to spend a few hours with my son and leave, since I live 2 miles from this camping site. He didn't even let me talk and explain the importance of that moment with my son. I really felt bad, almost cried of anger. To my son, I just came up with the idea that I had found another camping site, way better. In fact I did find it. We went to Horsley and the facility and the ladies working there were wonderful. We ended up spending the day there and I finally managed to had a good time with my boy. Honestly, this is the last year I am paying for my membership. This guy really needs to retire and leave this job.
Rubbish IT service.
I joined the club in 2019. Enjoyed the club magazine, but found that I had not booked onto any of their sites during two years of membership, so allowed it to lapse. Recently decided to give them another go, and set about trying to rejoin. Website won’t let me in. If I try to renew my membership, doesn’t recognise password, and attempts to get a new password emailed to me get no results. If I try to join as a new member, tells me my email address is ‘already in use’ so I can’t join using it. Emailed their complaints system, no response. Now I’ve seen other peoples comments on here, I realise I’m not alone, and this is an incompetent business with poor customer service (and don’t be conned by the ‘club’ moniker, it is a business, pure and simple.

Out of touch company
Poor website, over priced sites and worse of all when you complain, they don't listen or respond.CCC you REALLY need to take note as business won't always be this easy
